ADVANTAGES OF SILVER PLATED COPPER COVERED STEEL WIRE
- Silver-Plated Copper Covered Steel wire used in high frequency cabling systems with operating temperatures up to 200°C. Silver would be used for hi-temperature processing where Tin would not be suitable due to a lower melting point.
- Excellent solderability characteristics.
- Silver has a better electrical conductivity than Nickel or Tin. It show an improved performance at higher transmission frequencies (skin effect) and would benefit electical performance.

- Costly Compared to Nickel Plated Copper Covered Steel Wire/Tin Plated Copper Covered Steel Wire.
- Rated Temperature up to 200°C.
- With time Silver Plated Copper Covered Steel wire conductor in open environment will tarnish (environment effect).
- Require controlled parameter of insulation processing otherwise it will get tarnish.
